You can't beat a good market
There are a number of markets to choose from, some better than others.
Dalyan
Saturday morning.
It is about 10 minutes stroll out of Dalyan. The fruit and vegetable area is amazing as are all the herb. However, the rest is very much aimed at tourist and sell many genuine fake items and will try to negotiate with you - its good fun.

Ortaca
All day Friday.
Much better market with the majority of it aimed at locals. Its not all in one place so will need to have a good wonder around. The fish and fruit and vegetables are just fantastic and you get a real hassle and bustle atmosphere. Behind the Dolmus station you will see the rest of the market.

Koycegiz
All day Monday
The best way to visit this market has to be by boat. You can get the co-operative boat the far end of the lake. They will tell you how much time you have there and what time to return to the same boat to come back. Some of them are express and others stop at the mud baths on the way back.
There are 2 markets in Koycegiz. The street market which is to the right of the main road when you come off the boats and the big outdoor market which is further up the main road (past the school) on the left hand side. Its well worth a visit and the boat trip across the lake is just stunning. You will also have time to relax in one of the many restaurants alongside the lake.
